IDSS @ 2009 Part 1 : Dubai

Almost a week since I back from the Italy Design Summer School. Not yet recover from the jet lack, but already busy to get back into the mess that I left for almost 2 months here in Japan.

Back to the summer school. It is a fruitful trip. Get to know a lot of nice people; gain some knowledge about western art, Italian design; travel to a few places that definitely won’t be in the list on a normal trip; and of course a lot of photos that still stay in the hard disc, it going to cost me a lot of time to make them available on this blog. So, today Part 1 : Dubai. Why Dubai? We flew with Emirates and transited at Dubai International Airport. Make use of the transit time and followed a bus tour around the city.

Dubai become famous with it extra gorgeous city architecture, the Palm Jumeirah – the man made palm shape island, Atantis The Palm, luxurious resort on the island itself, Burj Dubai – the soon be complete tallest skyscraper in the world, Burj Al Arab – a luxury hotel with the shape of a boat….Although many construction work had been delayed due to the economic crisis, sure enough this place will still gather a lot of attention as a center of breading bed for modern idea of city landscapes as well as business, finance and tourism.

The trip was nice and even great if you can stay with the high temperature 40++ even in the morning. Had pack and fast visit to quiet a lot of places from 6 am to 2 pm. It will be bored to read in words, so enjoy the photo album below.
